With my order my daughter's hamburger was raw and there was a hair in her food. The only thing that is good anymore there is there ice cream

If I had to choose the one on wood streets the best, my grandfather should take me to this one when I was a child, but overall all of them are great..

No gloves that's nasty I agree the health department need 2 shut it down or make them wear gloves n change them after EVERY sandwich made.......

My favorite food source in the entire world! Should have 10 stars! I stopped there often when I was a kid, and loved the food and the people. Fabulous, old fashioned hamburger place with the best fries ever!

When in Decatur, Krekels Custard is a must stop for burgers shakes and flavored ice cream.

Been going here since I was a kid, best food ever. Introduced my wife to it almost 18 and half years ago and at least 3 times a year we go. Would go more but we live 60 miles away. Wife or I get the craving we dont argue we just go.

My fiance brought us up here to Illinois to see where he grew up. He said we had to eat here so this is my 1st time at Krekel's and I have to say, OMG IT'S AMAZING!!! The burger is cooked to perfection with its crispy edges and the fries nice crisp texture outside and soft pillowy potato goodness inside and the custard cone, let's just day Dairy Queen can't hold a candle to this. We will he eating here several more times before we have to leave Illinois and this will be our go to every time we come back to visit

Grew up on kreckles and it's the best.Never have had a better one than theirs. Simply awesome.

Best burgers and custard in town.

I'm not even going into the food because if you don't know how amazingly good it is then why are you reading this? The customer service and care here were threw the roof! Stopped by at the beginning of the lockdown during some business in town and the employees here nailed it! They were quick and you could tell took pride in their work. That's sometimes hard to tell in the food industry. Very nice to see it!

I love Krekels and will always support. I just ask that you not harass customers because of issues your young tramp employees have created. Kindness will only be extended so far. God bless

My husband walked over and got us some burgers and fries we haven't ate fast food for awhile and krekels was our favorite. Our burgers we're soft and mushy. Will never eat there again. Yuk.

Really disappointed with the food quality the past three times we have been there...over cooked burgers, old fries plus poor service...I have eaten at this Krekels for years but becoming very disappointed...when I called to complain the mgr was nice but I was exspected to give her a certain day that I would be in for a free meal... REALLY I have no idea when the next time would be but your exspected to tell them. 😡

NOT THE SAME...I wish I could give it 0 stars..I loved this location on wood before I moved! Came home to visit to get a good burger! First mistake went on Wood st... The angry cook had no gloves on and make matters worse he throw me together a soggy .sloppy raw bacon double cheeseburger GROSS never again would I go there! I appreciate the lady at the end explaining the glove situation!! But it didn’t fix the fact THAT horrible cook gave me a raw bacon sloppy double cheeseburger! If I felt like being rude I would take it back but kill them with kindness and NEVER RETURN! The Health Department needs to close that 1 down sorry not sorry!

I have been eating at all Krekels. I live in Nashville Tennessee and I only eat Krekels when I come to town to visit family.

I have the burgers shipped to st. Louis all the time. It's nice to get some hot ones freshly cook. And the ice cream is on another level. Wish i could open one here! Hint!

I was born and raised here in Decatur and use to come to Krekel's all the time🍔🍟🍦. Now, I leave in Atlanta over 25 years. So, when I come to visit Decatur I stop by before I even get a hotel room.
